Michel Lungart began his career at MMA Assurances in 1983, as Head of the car insurance market, before joining McKinsey in 1987, where he worked primarily in the financial sector. He joined Crédit Mutuel de Nantes in 1994 as Strategy Director. In 1996, he created and launched Suravenir Insurance Company where he was Managing Director.
In 2007 Michel Lungart joined Groupama’s management team in the Individual Insurance and Services Department. In this context, he led the group’s Direct Insurance project known as Amaguiz at the time and which was launched in mid-2008. Next, he was in charge within the France Insurance Department of the Operations, Direct Insurance, Partnerships and Services Unit. In 2011, he was appointed CEO of Groupama Bank in charge of developing the retail banking activity. At the end of 2011, he became Managing Director of the Insurance, Banking and Services business lines at Groupama and then Strategy Director from 2016 to 2018.
In 2018, Michel Lungart founded his own firm, MCL Consulting.
Michel Lungart is a graduate of HEC and the holder of an MBA (McGill University, Canada).
